I call this place my GARDEN OF WORDS
If you like to read, you will love it here.
If don’t like to read, you will love it here.
If you like to write stories, biographies, comics, autobiographies, fantasies, folktales, what else is there?
Oh, yes! If you like gardening, you will like it here, too.
You might ask: “What does gardening have to do with books?” Well, words can be like seeds. You put them in your mind, and they take root.
Try putting one word on the page. Go ahead. Just one. Okay, you can’t think of a single word. Well, start with your name. Try jumbling those words around. See what words you can create from just the words in your name.
All the parts of my name make up the word “Jumaja.” I just use the first two letters in each of my three names: first, middle, and last; and came up with JUMAJA. (Juliette Marie Javier).
Try putting the first two letters of your name together; what word do they make? Nice! Let’s go on a journey together–toward the garden of words. Come on, friend! Let’s go.
Don’t put the pencil down. Try writing some more thoughts about yourself. Go, on. Start writing. Keep writing. You’re on your way to an autobiography.
Yes, that’s what they call it when you write a book about your life. I have not written an autobiography yet. One day, who knows? A blank page is like our garden, right!
Keep writing. I am excited to learn all about your life. I’m excited to read your autobiography.
Don’t worry, if you still don’t know what an autobiography is, just click here.
Once you’re done, we’ll learn about biographies. Now, that’s when a writer writes a story about someone else. For example, if I were to write a story about you, that would be a BIOGRAPHY.
Click on the button that says BIOGRAPHIES. Let’s go learn what that is all about.
PS. Here’s a picture of my mom and yours truly. We had gone to a book sale; of course, we came out with a cart-load.
And that’s not even one tenth of the story.
My mommy goes crazy at the book sale. I mean CRAZY! She loves books. Now, we love books, too.
It was either that or not eat for weeks.
My mom has a webpage, too. If I didn’t tell you about it here, that might mean no food for me for another few weeks. Just kidding. Sort of.
We’re from Haiti. She writes about that all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME! Click here to read it.
